The St. Andrew’s Society in Mexico will host a memorial dinner in honor of Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 p.m., at Sir Winston Churchill’s Restaurant.

The evening will include Celtic dancing, a piper from the St. Patrick’s Battalion Pipes and Drums, poetry readings of Burns’ works and traditional speeches, as well as a full Scottish-themed meal with haggis, whiskey and wine.

Tickets for members are 1,350 pesos each, and for nonmembers are 1,550 pesos each.

Sir Winston Churchill’s Restaurant is located at Periférico Boulevard Manuel Ávila Camacho 67 in Colonia Polanco.

The Mexico City St. Andrew’s Society was founded in 1893 to promote Scottish culture and support local charities. Today, the society includes around 120 families.
