Hamleys, the world’s oldest and largest toy retailer, opened its first outlet store in Mexico last month at the Premium Outlets Punta Norte (POPN) shopping mall, just north of Mexico City.

Founded in London in 1760, Hamleys – then known as Noah’s Ark – has expanded its global presence dramatically since the June 2018 closing of Toys R Us, with a total of three stores now in Mexico and more than 60 franchises worldwide.

Renowned for its high-end toys, the hands-on experiences that offer children the chance to play with life-size Lego figures and kid-friendly staff, often dressed as fictional characters, Hamleys flagship store on London’s Regent Street has become a tourist destination.
