Toluca Airport Closed After Plane Ignites



The Toluca International Airport in the State of Mexico closed operations after a small plane crashed there early Thursday, Feb. 7.

The plane, a Learjet model 35, made an emergency landing at 7:14 a.m. and then burst into flames on the runway.

Firetrucks were on the scene and put out the fire almost immediately.

No injuries were reported.

There is no word as what caused the accident or as to when the airport will reopen for operations.
