After the gruesome discovery of human remains under the floorboards of his home, admitted Mexican serial killer “Andrés N” admitted over the weekend that he had killed at least 30 people over the last two decades.

The 72-year-old suspect, known colloquially as El Chino, was arrested on Saturday, May 22, in the State of Mexico (Edoméx) municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza for the killing of 34-year-old Reyna González, who disappeared in the city nine days earlier.

According to some media reports, Andrés N. told authorities he had eaten some of the remains of his victims — mostly young women — after dismembering their bodies.

Edoméx prosecutors said that they have yet to determine the total number of victims in the case.

Andrés N is currently being held at the Tlanepantla Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center.
