Beethoven Festival to Present all Nine Symphonies in Five Nights

In an unprecedented celebration of Germany’s Father of Romantic Music, Mexico’s Philharmonic of the Arts will offer a festival of the works of Ludwig van Beethoven, presenting all nine of his symphonies over a five-day period, beginning on Wednesday, July 20.

The Beethoven Fever festival, which will mark the 15th anniversary of the Philharmonic of the Arts, will be under the direction of Argentina Durán, the most famous pianist on TikTok.

The concerts will be held inside the Silvestre Revueltas Auditorium of the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center, located at Periférico Sur 5141, in Mexico City’s Colonia Isidro Fabela.

The program for each day is as follows: On Wednesday, July 20, at 8 p.m., Beethoven’s Symphonies 1 and 5; on Thursday, July 21, at 8 p.m., Symphonies 2 and 6; on Friday, July 22, at 8 p.m., Symphonies 3 and 8; on Saturday, July 23, at 7 p.m., Symphonies 4 and 7; and on Sunday, July 24, at 6 p.m., the gala festival conclusion with Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.

Tickets start at 300 pesos per night or 1,200 pesos for the entire festival, and can be purchased at the door or through Ticketmaster.
