By KELIN DILLON On the Sunday, Sept. 19, anniversary of Mexico’s deadly 1985 and 2017 earthquakes, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) raised the country’s flag in Mexico City’s Zócalo at half mast in honor of the natural disasters’ victims. The 8.1 magnitude earthquake in 1985 left more than 20,000 dead, while the 2017 seismic shock resulted in 369 fatalities.
