Melon Heart

The Mexican handbag brand Corazón de Melon last week offered the media a sneak preview of its new collection, due out in early 2018.

Designed and produced 100 percent in Mexico, using no animal-based parts, these multi-colored, multi-textured, statement-making purses are inspired in the ethnic and cultural heritage of global trends.

The new collection is divided into four subgroups, Indigo Denim, which mixes dark blue denim with bright, satiny, batik-like patterns; Fábula Tropical, which draws on the colorful beauty of nature and is adorned with images of birds and flowers; Kimono Mix, which contrasts the deep-hued patterns of Japanese kimonos with elegant coral shades; and a sedate, monotone group in elegant coral red and rich indigo blue with subtle inlaid patterns for a more conservative look.
