The American Benevolent Society (ABS) will have a trained specialist on hand this Saturday, Feb. 3, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at its offices to help U.S. citizens living in Mexico to register for the upcoming 2018 midterm elections.

The ABS offices are located in room 201 of Union Church, at Paseo de la Reforma 1870 in Colonia Lomas de Chapultepec.

Registered citizens can vote this year for federal senators and federal representatives.

Every U.S. state has different rules as to registration and voting, but in general, citizens wanting to vote in this year’s elections must register within the next few weeks, even if they have registered for an absentee ballot in previous races.

Some state primaries will be starting quite soon, so time is of the essence.

The ABS will also have someone to help at its offices  every weekday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
