Another Quake Strikes Mexico

A powerful earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.2 on the Richter scale, hit Mexico on Friday, Feb. 16, at 5:39 p.m. local time, leading to mass hysteria and flashbacks of the horrors of last September, when two tremors wreaked billions of dollars in damages and left more than 300 people dead nationwide.

Despite scenes of chaos in Mexico City and Oaxaca, the epicenter of the quake — both of which were hit hard by the quakes five months ago — there were no  reported casualties or major structural damages this time around.

Notwithstanding, there was a strong aftershock of 5.8 on the Richter scale less than an hour later, which rattled nerves even more.

This is a continuing story.

Pulse News Mexico will keep its readers posted about the developments.
