International Book Fair Opens at Palacio de Minería

The 39th edition of the 12-day International Book Fair at Mexico City’s Palacio de Minería opened on Thursday, Feb. 22.

The fair, which is designed to encourage reading, includes more than 1,000 book-oriented activities and 800 titles.

The fair’s 2018 edition showcases the Mexican state of Campeche and the works of Mexican short story writer Juan José Arreola, who would have turned 100 years old this year.

The International Book Fair at the Palacio de Minería is Mexico’s oldest book fair.
