Who doesn’t love using Mexico City’s EcoBici system to jaunt around town?
On Sunday, July 22, the nation’s capital will be celebrating 11 years of this eco-friendly (and health-friendly) program.
To mark the occasion, the Mexico City Environmental Secretariat (Sedema) will be hosting a race and a raffle, giving away 10 new fully equipped bikes.
The raffle is free and open to the public, with tickets given out at bicycle stations set along Reforma Avenue.
EcoBici is part of the “Muévete en Bici” (“Move by Bike”) program that the Mexico City government implemented in 2007, and has since habilitated 55 kilometers of bike-exclusive paths throughout the city.
Hola Therese: Good article. Let me suggest getting the English Old Timers Speaking Community to give highlights on the changes they have seen in Mexico City & what they miss. Curtis Lowell being copied is the Senior Consul can mention highlights of 40’s, 50’s & 60’s. As usual I like giving ideas that might be of interest to the English Speaking Community. Abrazo,
Frank Devlyn
