The American Benevolent Society’s (ABS) offices will be closed on Friday, Sept. 14, and Monday, Sept. 17, in observance of Mexico’s Independence Day celebration.

The society’s annual Independence Day Taquiza will be held on Friday, Sept 21, at 1:30 p.m. at Union Church, located at Avenida de la Reforma 1870.

Reservations for the event can be made by calling the ABS offices at 5540-5123.

The cost of the taquiza is 130 pesos per person.

And while the ABS Caza Libros used bookstore is now no longer usually opened on Saturdays, the store will be open on Saturday, Sept. 22, and volunteers will be on hand that day to assist U.S. citizens with absentee voter registration.
