Paper Mirror, the first large-scale exhibit of works by the late U.S. visual artist Nancy Spero, will go on display at Mexico City’s Tamayo Museum on Saturday, Oct. 6.

A pioneer of feminist art, Spero’s work has been described as “an unapologetic statement against the pervasive abuse of power, Western privilege and male dominance.”

The multimedia collection covers more than 50 years of Spero’s paintings, and will remain open to the public through Feb. 17, 2019.
