A More Beautiful You

Even without makeup, all women are beautiful in their own way, with their unique features and individual attractions.

And we at Pulse News Mexico believe that women should revel in their natural beauty.

But that doesn’t mean that they cannot use a few special products and scents to help accentuate and draw attention to their God-given grace while simultaneously boosting their self-esteme.

Honey-Sweet Complexions

Guerlain, the creator of Abeille Royale, infused with the goodness of real honey and royal jelly to promote healthier and younger-looking skin, has just revamped its Abeille Royale Day Cream and Abeille Royale Night Cream with the addition of vitamin C.

For centuries, bee products have been used for beauty and health because of their effective natural revitalizing qualities, which Guerlain has harnessed in its entire Abeille Royale line.

Vitamin C is one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants and is known to fight wrinkles and give skin a glowing boost.

Used in conjunction with Abeille Royale Huile-en-Eau (a youth watery oil enriched with Ouessant black bee honey and royal jelly to combine the power of a serum, the richness of an oil and the freshness of a cream to leave skin more radiant, soft and silky) and/or Abeille Royale Double R Renew and Repair Serum (which employs Guerlain’s ultimate age-defying bee product technology with a soft-peel treatment for highly effective action in enhancing skin elasticity and firmness, while minimizing wrinkles, fine lines, dull skin, imperfections and large pores), the new Abeille Royale creams help firm and smooth skin, thanks to vitamin C derivatives that soften fine lines and enhance skin’s natural radiance.

Suitable for all skin types (including extremely sensitive skin), the creams’ balmy texture is quickly absorbed into skin, intensely nourishing it without leaving a greasy film.

Scientific laboratory studies found that after just one month of use of the new Abeille Royale creams, 95 percent of women reported a reduction in wrinkles and fine lines, 98 percent said they had improved skin quality, and 98 percent said that their skin looked younger overall.

Fitting Foundation

Finding the right foundation to match your skin tone used to be complicated.

Not any more!

Maybelline New York has just introduced a new line of Fit Me! Matte + Poreless foundations in 20 shades that goes beyond just matching your skin shade to also match your skin’s texture.

Available in two formats — one for normal to dry skin and the other for normal to oily — Fit Me! ! Matte + Poreless is formulated to adapt to your skin for a perfect natural fit.

And while some foundations can irritate skin, increasing pore size and prompting breakouts, Fit Me! Matte + Poreless is the only pore-minimizing foundation that contains special blurring micro-powders to help erase pores and absorb oil for a naturally matte and poreless-looking complexion.

There are also Fit Me! compact powders and Fit Me! loose finishing powers to leave you skin with a porcelaine finish.

Also new from Maybelline is a collection of red lipsticks that adapt to practically every skin tone.

Skincare Algorithm

If you suffer from acne, blackheads, whiteheads or other skin breakouts — and most people in Mexico do, at least at some time in their lifetime — then La Roche-Posay has a high-tech solution for you.

The company — which is the most recommended line by dermatologists in Mexico and around the globe — has just introduced the first personalized acne diagnosis tool powered by artificial intelligence.

Using an algorithm developed in cooperation with dermatologists and thousands of male and female subjects with different skin types and varying degrees of acne, La Roche-Posay has created Effaclar SpotScan, a simple, user-friendly service that allows patients to scan their own faces (from the front and both sides) and submit the results digitally to an online application that will analyze skin imperfections and determine if they are pimples, blackheads or pigmentated marks, as well as the severity of acne on a scale of 0 to 4.

The app will then make recommendations for a three-pronged daily skincare routine (cleaning, correcting and protecting) based on the particular type of breakouts the patient has (not all acnes are created equally, since the root cause of the condition — hormones, diet, stress, tobacco consumption, etc. — will determine treatment).

The app then recommends that the patient consult a dermatologist for further analysis and treatment of their problem, but with some basic knowledge of their condition in hand.

With 25 years of experience in treating oily skin, La Roche-Posay Effaclar has developed a range of products to provide dermatological solutions for every type of acne prone-skin.

Fragrance Relaunch

Sephora is relaunching one of its most popular — and most romantic — fragrance this month, Tocca Florence Eau de Parfum.

Inspired by Italy’s City of Lilies, Tocca Florence is a symphony of sweet white flowers cascading into a heart of gardenias and jasmine flowers.

Sophisticatedly sweet and quietly seductive, this fragrance, first launched in 2006, captures the essence of eternal love and passion.

Tocca Florence opens with a rush of Italian bergamot and grapefruit leaves tempered by fresh notes of green pear and apple.

It then quickly progresses into a sensuous core of gardenias and crushed violets, wrapped in a cloud of Sambac jasmine, tuberose and blue iris.

The eau de parfum closes with a lingering allure of blonde wood and white musk.

And last month, Sephora introduced the latest innovation from Danish skincare guru Ole Henrikson: PHAT Glow Facial.

This one-step, at-home mask is powered by polyhydroxy acids (PHAs), which work in a similar way to alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) to help even skin tone and texture through chemical exfoliation, but which have plumper molecules.

Consequently, PHAs do not go as deep into the dermis in retexturizing skin, so they leave skin smooth with no recovery time.

PHAT Glow Facial’s PHA-packed formula smooths, brightens and reduces the appearance of pores, fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots for flawless skin in a flash.

PHAT Glow Facial also contains Nordic birch sap to help hydrate and nourish, pink bentonite clay to detoxify and clarify, chia seed oil to plump with hydration, and cotton extract to condition skin.

This product is part of the Ole Henrikson Transform Plus collection, which offers advanced treatments with natural super-ingredients to fight all major signs of aging.
