Anglo Arts, a cultural institution in Mexico sponsored by the Anglo Mexican Foundation with the objective of promoting bilateral cultural exchange between the two countries, will present a live broadcast of the Royal Opera House’s 2019 production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s two-act opera “Don Giovanni” on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 12:15 p.m. inside Mexico City’s Anglo Arts Center.

Starring Uruguayan bass-baritone Erwen Schrott in the title role, with Swedish-born Malin Byström in the role of Donna Anna, the opera is directed by Kasper Holten, with orchestral direction by Hartmut Haenchen.

The 1787 opera is based on the amorous legends of Don Juan, a fictional libertine and womanizer.

“Don Giovanni” is considered to be one of Mozart’s most important operatic works.

The Anglo Arts Center is located at Antonio Caso 127 in Colonia San Rafael.
