Punta Mita, Mexico’s premiere ultra-luxury ocean resort, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this winter, and to commemorate the occasion, the destination’s two five-star hotels, the St. Regis and the Four Seasons, will host a series of events over the weekend of Friday, Dec. 6, through Monday, Dec. 8,
The posh festivities will include a gala dinner prepared by the executive chefs of each hotel, a fashion show of top Mexican designers with pieces inspired by Punta Mita’s natural beauty, an auction of unsigned artwork, a golf tournament and a sampling of regional cuisine.
The gala dinner will open the celebration on Friday, Dec. 6, inside the resort’s iconic Kupuri Beach Club.
During the dinner, there will be a fashion show of the special Punta Mita collections of designers Lydia Lavín, Anine Bing, Vanessa Guckel and Raquel Orozco.
There will also be a display of images of the fashion designs by renowned Mexican photographer Cynthia Serur.
And there will be an exhibition and “No Name” silent auction of paintings by several major Mexican artists.
All profits from the sale of the paintings and fashion designs will go to the Fundación Punta de Mita and PEACE Punta de Mita foundations.
Because the Nayarit resort is known for its two 18-hole Jack Nicolas golf courses, the 20th anniversary celebration will also include a golf tournament.
On Sunday, Dec. 8, there will be a Flavors of Punta Mita gastronomic festival at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, as well as the presentation of a special memorial book about the destination.
Both hotels are now taking reservations for the anniversary celebration.
