At 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, the Mexican peso was trading at an unprecedented 23.24 to the U.S. dollar.
Notwithstanding, the peso recovered about .26 percent of its value by 8 a.m., to trade at 22.82 per dollar.
The Mexican peso has been sorely effected by the mounting global coronavirus crisis and the drop in international oil prices.
