Missing Mexican Instagram model Adriana Murrieta Trevino, who was found in Guadalajara, Jalisco, on Monday, Nov. 2, apparently died of strangulation, police reported over the weekend.

Murrieta Trevino, 29, was first reported missing by her family on Sunday, Nov. 2,  after flying into Guadalajara, Jalisco, from the city of Culiacan, Sinaloa.

She was a native of the Mexican state of Sonora, but had been living in Guadalajara for the last three years.

Her body will continue to undergo an autopsy to establish the exact cause of death.

According to the Mexican Secretariat of Public Security, 39 women were killed in the state of Jalisco between January and September this year.
