As covid-19 cases continue to soar in all three countries, the governments of the United States, Canada and Mexico announced Thursday, Nov. 19, that they would continue to impose restrictions on nonessential land border crossings for yet another month.

Air travel between the United States and Mexico is permitted, but Canada blocks nonessential air travel as well.

The current restrictions, which have been in effect since March 21, expire on Saturday, Nov. 21, and the three countries have agreed to approve another 30-day extension, through Dec. 21, officials said.
