If you are planning to go skiing in Aspen this winter, you better have proof of a negative covid-19 test before you make your reservations.
Starting Monday, Dec. 14, Pitkin Country, Colorado — home to Aspen’s four world-renowned ski areas, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass — will require all visitors to the region, including those from other parts of the state, to present a written affidavit acknowledging that they have had a negative covid-19 test within the last 72 hours.
If visitors do not have that affidavit, they will be required to quarantine on arrival, either for 14 days or until they obtain a negative covid test in Pitkin Country at their own expense
Visitors also will be asked to certify that they have been symptom-free for 10 days prior to travel.
