U.S. President Joe Biden is considering naming former Senator and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to serve as his diplomatic envoy in Mexico, according to a report published late Monday, April 12, in Axios.

Biden is poised to release his list of diplomatic envoys this week, and Salazar is believed to be his pick for ambassador to Mexico.

A lawyer and politician who served as secretary of the Interior under Barack Obama, Salazar previously held the past of senator from Colorado.
