The Diplomatic Wives Association (ACD) hosted a charity bazaar of artisan handicrafts and international foods at the Indian Embassy Residence on Thursday, April 29.

More than 30 stands, selling everything from handcrafted jewelry and Panama hats to Thai curry and artisan beer produced by French monks in Mexico, participated in the one-day fair.

There was also a raffle.

All proceeds from the event will be used to support the Casa Paco children’s home and Education Assistance Foundation (FAE), which works with children at the Chimalhuacán trash heap in the State of Mexico (Edoméx), according to newly elected ACD President Martha Cruz, wife of Uruguayan Ambassador to Mexico Anibal Fernando Cabral Segalerba.

The ACD is a nonprofit social organization composed of the spouses of foreign diplomats accredited in Mexico.
