Mexico’s Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) late Wednesday, June 9, officially confirmed the authorization of the purchase by Grupo Lauman of Fox Sports México, currently owned by subsidiaries of the Walt Disney Company.

The change of management is slated to take place in the following months.

This deal was the result of months of negotiation to reach an agreement for the sale of Fox Sports México.

Grupo Lauman is a global telecommunications, broadcast and media group based out of Mexico with a longstanding relationship with the channel.
