A helicopter belonging to the Mexican Navy in which Veracruz Interior Secretary Éric Cisneros was traveling, crashed after takeoff on Wednesday, Aug. 25, while carrying out reconnaissance work for the care of victims of Hurricane Grace.
Veracruz Governor Cuitláhuac García said that Cisneros was injured but that his condition was “stable.”
The accident occurred near the municipality of Agua Blanca de Iturbide, in the state of Hidalgo.
A resident of Agua Blanca reported that the official helicopter fell on the Tulancingo-Huayacocotla road, near the municipal sports hall.
