After a two-year hiatus because of the covid-19 pandemic, the central Mexican state of Queretaro will host its annual National Cheese and Wine Fair from May 20 to June 5 in the tourist town of Tequisquiapan.
The event, which will be held on each of the three weekends during that period, will include not only wine tastings and enological seminars, but live music and dance performances, art exhibits and other culture activities.
An estimated 60,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which is considered to be the largest cheese and wine festival in Mexico.
This year, the guest country of honor will be Spain.
