Mexican Formula 1 (F1) racecar driver Sergio “Checo” Pérez placed second in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on Sunday, June 12.

After abandoning two Ferraris, Pérez’s Red Bull team mate Max Verstappen came in first in the race, while Pérez finished second and took the point for the fastest lap.

With this victory, Pérez is now a sub-leader in the Drivers’ Championship.

Red Bull remains the leader in the Constructors’ Championship with 279 points, Ferrari is in second place with 199, and Mercedes is close behind with 161 points.
