Let’s be honest: There are garage sales, and then there are serious garage sales.

Mexico’s Diplomatic Wives Association’s (ACD) first-ever empty-our-closets garage sale is definitely going to be the latter.

Slated to take place on Wednesday, June 22, inside the gardens of the Uruguayan Embassy residence in Mexico, located at Corregidoras 405 in Mexico City’s Colonia Lomas de Chapultepec, this mega, one-day-only sale is a chance to snag new, (gently-loved) pre-owned and vintage pieces from the likes of Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton and other luxury brands at you-won’t-believe-your-eyes prices. (I already got a sneak peek at a gold-colored Nina Ricci suit that I am claiming dibs on.)

And remember, fashionistas, these are items culled from the closets of the well-dressed. (After all, haute couture is mandatory at diplomatic functions.)

As an added bonus, all the money raise will go to local charities.

The sale is open to the public Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., so get your retail-therapy groove on and come find your treasure (just leave me that gold Nina Ricci suit, please).
