Mexico’s MdMar Danza troupe will preform the choreographic theatrical presentation of its new work, “Micelio,” at the National Fine Arts Palace on Tuesday. Aug. 9, at 8:00 p.m.

Now in its 30th year, MdMar, led by choreographer Myrna de la Garza, is known for its intertwining of the playful with the aesthetic, the metaphor with the body, in the
creation of fantastic universes.

“Micelio” revolves around the interrelationship of man and nature, exploring new ways that link artistic creation with the planet.

Is reflects an emotional abyss that has separated human from their natural environment as human progresses, with a score of contemporary music composed especially for the play.

The MdMar Danza performance will be held inside the main auditorium of the Fine Arts Palace, located on Avenida Juárez in Mexico City’s Centro Histórico, on Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 8 p.m.

Tickets start at 80 pesos (with discounts for teachers, students and INAPAM cardholders) and run up to 250 pesos for a private opera box. They can be purchased on line through Ticketmaster or at the door.
