At Least 10 People Trapped In Coahuila Mine Collapse

At least 10 people remained trapped as the result of a landslide at the Las Conchas mine, located in Sabinas, in the carboniferous region of the Mexican state of Coahuila on Wednesday, Aug. 3, authorities reported.
The collapse occurred in one of the shafts of a coal pit when the miners were working.
After the collapse, the mine began flooding, according to government reports.
Late Wednewsday, the mining complex haD been cordoned off by agents of the Coahuila Attorney General’s Office, andrescue forces were deployed.
There was no news of the trapped miners status as of late Wednesday night.
