The Dance of Words

By CHANA PERMAN

Words are like a dance,

You’ll need some skill and grace.

How and what to say

Wearing your kindest face.

Colored sprinkle words

Add happiness and cheer,

Clap of thunder yells

Cause scare and fearful tears.

Puddle words make a splash;

You may need a pair of boots.

Flower words help you grow,

All the way down to your roots.

Long words make your ears buzz,

Hard words make the head spin,

There are many kinds of words,

So where to even begin?

Start by using words with care,

In school, at home, in camp.

Practice every day,

And become a winning word champ.

Words are like a dance,

Make it a happy one.

Choose your words with love.

Words are so much fun.
