On Tuesday, Nov. 15, Mexico’s Leslie Xcaret Soltero won gold on home soil in Guadalajara, Jalisco, after defeating Serbia’s Aleksandra Perisic in the women’s 67-kilogram international Taekwondo final.

Soltero overpowered Perisic in the last few seconds of the deciding round, bringing Mexico a fifth global champion in Taekwondo.
