
Oh, Canada

Some days are mild, dare I say nice.
Some days you glide on shiny black ice.
Some days are for ski masks, boots and a hat.
Some days in Canada are just like that.
Many days the streets will shimmer with snow.
Many days the temps will plummet so low.
Yes, this is life in Ontario
(You may wish you lived in Mexico.)
Originally from New York City but currently living in Toronto, Canada, CHANA PERMAN is a Jewish poet, mother and learning strategies instructor. She holds a Master’s Degree in special education, and has worked in that field for 25 years.
