Mexico City’s Philharmonic Orchestra (OFCM) will offer a free Christmas concert in the capital’s central plaza Zócalo on Saturday, Dec. 10, starting at 6 p.m.
Under the direction of guest conductor Eduardo Álvarez, the orchestra will perform a collection of both traditional Mexican and international holiday music, in what will constitute the OFCM’s final performance of 2022.
Eduardo Álvarez is the head conductor of the Acapulco Philharmonic Orchestra and was recognized this year by the Guerrero government as that state’s conductor emeritus for his more than 40 years of public service.
