Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported Thursday, Dec. 8, that an arrest warrant had been issued for Christian Von Roehrich for his alleged participation in a network of real estate scams.
Von Roehrich is the head of the Mexico City deputies for the conservative National Action Party (PAN) and previously served as mayor of Mexico City’s Benito Juárez municipality.
In a written statement, the FGR said that the arrest warrant was for possible criminal association and alleged illegal use of powers during his time as head of Benito Juárez.
The statement also said that the FGR was appealing to the general public to help locate Von Roehrich.
According to the charges, Von Roehrich allegedly was involved in the misallocation of 207 million pesos after the 2017 earthquake.
