Antonio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Tony Montana” and brother of Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) leader Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera, was detained by National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) officers on Tuesday, Dec. 20, according to military sources.

Sedena issued a statement on Tuesday, stating that its officers, along with members of the National Guard (GN) and the Federal Attorney General’s Office (FGR), learned that Antonio Oseguera Cervantes was holed up inside a building in the Jalisco town of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga and launched a full-scale operation to arrest him.

Upon their arrival in the area, elements of the FGR established a security perimeter and completed a technical investigation order, achieving his arrest during his illicit dealings.

The officers also found six short weapons, one long weapon, a package with possible cocaine, two vehicles and nine cartridges at the site.
