At least two people died as the result of the explosion of a gas station along the Tula-Tlahuelilpan Highway in the central Mexican state of Hidalgo, about an hour from Mexico City, on Saturday, Feb. 4.
The explosion, the exact cause of which remains unclear but which was apparently sparked by a leak from a gasoline tanker, occurred at 8:52 a.m. Saturday, totally decimating the Servifácil gas station and an adjacent convenience store, along with 10 other vehicles.
And additional 10 people were reported seriously injured.
