All 32 Mexican states are slated to participate in the annual Mexico City (CDMX) Tianguis Turístico tourism festival that will be held from March 25 through March 27 along the sidewalks of Avenida Paseo de la Reforma, Mexico City Governor Claudia Sheinbaum announced Saturday, Feb. 11.

“Each state will have a stand to present their tourist destinations, handicrafts and local products,” said Sheinbaum.

The Tianguis, which will be aimed at businessmen, will also include a series of cultural performances by each state on a stage that will be located in the Bosque de Chapultepec, Sheinbaum said.

There will also be an accompanying Tianguis Turístico trade show inside the Centro Citibanamex located at Avenida Conscripto 311 in Colonia Lomas de Sotelo from March 26 through March 29.

An estimated 15,000 vendors and wholesalers are expected to attend that trade show.

“We have already confirmed 1,113 national and international buyers, 685 companies from 55 countries on five continents,” said Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism Miguel Torruco.
