At least 20 people were seriously injured late Tuesday, Feb. 14, when two metrobuses collided on Mexico City’s Avenida de la Reforma.

Paramedics and other emergency personnel appeared on the scene, at the intersection of Reforma and Hidalgo, within 20 minutes and began attending to the injured, including one of the drivers who was trapped in the wreckage.

Two of the injured — the trapped driver and a pregnant woman — were later deemed in grave condition by hospital personnel.

Traffic in the region remained snarled until midnight.
