Life Is the Word
By CHANA PERMAN
When the sun beams down
It’a a shining day
Everything’s gonna be okay
Winner of a muffin
The light turns green
You, a champ of the winning team
Sometimes it snows
Icy winds blow
Answers are elusive
You just don’t know–
What to do? Where to go?
Then it starts to pour
Soaking to the bone
An umbrella appears
You’re no longer alone
And fluffy clouds set a whimsical tone
Then the sun returns
Cheers from the crowd
Laughter and song
Dissolve the gray clouds
Flying overhead, melodious birds
Chirping in harmony
LIFE is the word!
