ABS to Host Fourth of July Fest with Pinche Gringo

Mexico City’s American Benevolent Society (ABS) will host its annual U.S. Independence Day luncheon on — you guessed it, Tuesday, July 4 — but with a twist.

This year, the ABS has joined forces with the Pinche Gringo BBQ restaurant to offer a special, discounted meal, fun activities for kids and its first-ever homemade pie contest.

The event will be held on the ground floor of the the Pinche Gringo warehouse, located at Lago Iseo 296 in Colonia Polanco, from noon to 3 p.m.

Special kids activities will include apple bobbing, ring toss, darts and hammer games, and there will be balloons and cotton candy.

The cost of the meal, including a soft drink, is 250 pesos per person, and the menu will consist of a choice of a chili dog or hamburger, a 4-ounce side and dessert.

The same menu, with beer or wine, will be 320 pesos.

The homemade pie contest is open to all and each participant can enter up to three pies.
