Mexico’s giant panda Xin Xin, on loan from China, turned 33 on Saturday, July 1, and was celebrated at its home in Mexico City’s Chapultepec Zoo with a grand celebratory party, replete with an apple cake.

Xin Xin is one of the world’s longest-living giant pandas.

In attendance at the panda fest was Chinese Ambassador to Mexico Zhang Run, who congratulated the zoo on providing exceptional care to the animal.
