The American Benevolent Society (ABS) on Tuesday, Oct. 10, announced a change of dates for its October Health Fair, which was slated to pate place on Thursday, Oct. 19.

The annual fair will now be held Friday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Christ Church Parish, located at Montes Escandinavos 405 in Mexico City’s Colonia Lomas de Chapultepec.

During the fair, personnel from the ABC Medical Center will administer fu (Fluzactal tetravalente), pneumonia (Pulmovax) and shingles (Shingrix) vaccines.

The Shingrix is a two dose vaccine, the second dose will be applied at the ABS office in January 2024.

In order to streamline the vaccination process as well as to have enough vaccines available, the ABS has asked that those wanting vaccinations to please be sure to reserve in advance and schedule an appointment.

The price of the flu vaccine for members is 650 pesos and 750 pesos for nonmembers. The pneumonia vaccine will cost 1,100 pesos for members and 1,300 pesos for nonmembers. Each dose of the shingles vaccines will be 3,000 for members and 3,200 for nonmembers.
