Finally, Rosaura Ruiz, the Secretary of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of Mexico City during Sheinbaum’s tenure as Mexico City’s head of government, was named  Secretary of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation.

“I feel very proud and happy that those of us here today have agreed to be part of our team,” said Sheinbaum during the announcement. “They are first-class men and women with experience who will also help us a lot to meet our objectives over the next six years.”

Sheinbaum concluded her conference by revealing she will announce the next six cabinet members the following Thursday, June 27.
