The Chilean-based home goods chain Casaideas opened its first store in Mexico on Monday, April 24, inside Mexico City’s Miyana shopping mall in Colonia Polanco.

The store, which owners said would be the first of nine Casaideas to open in Mexico this year, offers an eclectic selection of sustainable household and interior décor products at affordable prices, with more than 500 new items added each month.

Often referred to as the Ikea of Chile, the upbeat Casaideas brand in Mexico is operated as a subsidiary of the Grupo Gigante corporation and replaces the former Home Store chain.

With 82 stores in Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Colombia, the company focuses on bright, happy textures and colors, incorporating local materials and traditional designs.

The new Miyana store is the brand’s 83rd.
